以前少し書いたように、やはり異常な飲み会だ。忘年会の３大要素―愚痴、演説、猥談―が無い。毒か薬か、と聞かれたら絶対に「薬」の飲み会なのだが、かといって気高くいましょうね、と示し合わしているわけでもない。
最近こういう飲み会にしか参加していないので、異常なのは今までの自分のほうではないのか、と疑問もわく。風邪で早々に退散したのが悔しい。
そして「守秘義務」を守ることを半ば前提の上でみんな話をするので会話の内容が濃くて、かつblogに書けない。。

I didn’t notice the cycad trees. I did recognize the Canadian needleleaf trees in that Kadokawa samurai movie “Ten to Chi to”(heaven and earth). Kadokawa team emphasized they had done an extensive filming in North America in the preview, so they knew it was too apparent..
Your comment made me think again about coupling in general..in the end, it might be about chemical than logic. And yes, timing has a lot to do with it as well. Look into my (rather few) case, I couldn’t always explain why I like a particular person( I could always explain clearly why I DON’T like her). But at the initial stage, the curiosities which led me to putting effort to build up the relationship, were rather based on clear reasons.
Have you ever watched the Cartoon Network? I miss Samurai Jack. Alright, this comment might have nothing to do with the Last Samurai, but it came to my mind.
One thing that I noticed is that cycad trees were all over the battle field in the Last Samurai. To me, cycad trees are not seen growing in wild in non-tropical area of Japan.
In international couple, I don’t know what an American woman want in Japanese man, but from having known just a few Japanese men who were married to American women, they seem to want were stimulation, positive outlook, activeness. Maybe these international couples might think about being better off with domestic partners, but it seems the choice may be more about when they met each other. I mean, its about falling in love. It happens with someone who feels right at the particular stage of that person’s life.
