このご時世にこのような値段設定を行う店とはいかがなものか、たかがロースカツ定食に５，０００円。味はそこそこ、店員愛想なし、ただ値段高いだけ、だったらどうしよう、そうであってほしいなあ本当においしかったらがっかりするなあとどきどきしつつもまだ店に入っていない。 これまでにそんなささやかな願望を満たしてくれた店はひとつだけある。大阪・梅田にあるステーキ屋ヒXXエだ。場末、すえた、行き止まり、哀愁、そんな言葉が壁のしみひとつひとつを形成している、バカ高く愛想が無くまあまあの味を誇る店だった。...

通勤電車の中にて：広告の数が多すぎる、といつも感じる。電車の中で本当に見たいのは路線図だ。自分がどこへ行こうとしているのか、何駅くらいで目的地に着くのか、地図を見ないでわかるのは山手線くらいなのでどうしても図に頼ることになる。山手線にしたってわかっているのは品川～新宿の間だけで、あとは無法地帯と名づけて覚えることを放棄した。 東京へ来て３年になるけど、いまだに地図がなくては電車の中で生きていけない。 それなのに。せめて広告と路線図がきれいにわかれるようにしてもらえないだろうか。...
