I think at this point they are just milking the cash cow. They know a lot of people are already "hooked" on Spiderman, so they will pay regardless.

You are probably right, this is the end of Spiderman as we know it. I stopped watching Batman since Michael Keaton was replaced. It is just not the same.

Yes, when they replaced Tim Burton and Michael Keaton after the masterpiece Batman Returns I thought everything was over. For the next two films it was.
Maybe Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale gave everybody a bad influence - that resurrection of a superhero franchise is easy and also successful.
