I hear you but I don't see a lot of Samsung ads on Japanese TV - mainly Japanese beer, cars and electronics.

Maybe Samsung already figured out the msm advertising models are splintering beyond repair?

Anyway, as a copywriter, Ads are all I watch (haha!) - can't stand the game show formats in between...

Well the sad truth is, Samsung figured out they don't have to succeed in the Japanese market as long as they win world-wide, and did exactly that. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Sayonara-Japan-Says-Samsung-70491.shtml And they were right, again.
