Escalator gets busy

An escalator in Taipei 101 first floor. Reminds us of the days when we couldn't step onto the escalator steps, even for ascending. There wasn't any trouble at all? Liar.

From the baby's point of view, this event should be comparable with downhill skiing at more than 30 degrees. For grandmas, it's just another chance to play with their grandsons. Hang on there, kid.

A non-crowded Starbucks is located nearby, which should make this branch an excellent case study in business schools for how to fantastically fail at the food business given the top-notch location (THE 101) and a proven franchise. I mean, at the other side of the building refugee camps are formed on daily basis.

台北１０１の１階にて。赤ん坊のエスカレーター降下を全員が固唾をのんで見守り、赤ん坊にとってはこの先一生を支配するトラウマの分岐点にさしかかっている。エスカレーター降下も、時と場合によってはイベントになりうるのですね。

この目の前にあるスターバックスは休日の午後でも込んでいません。立地条件にめぐまれ、高名なフランチャイズに加盟しながらも成功していない、という点でビジネススクールの良い教材になるのかもしれません。おなじ建物のもう一方では、難民キャンプが毎日形成されているのといい対象です。

英語ー日本語のブログで困った点は、英語を書き終わって日本語へ移行する際には既に脳がエネルギーを使い終わっていることです。というか、エントリーを書き終わるという行為そのものが、脳に対してお休み指令を出してしまうような気がします。

仕事に例えれば、検証するまでが仕事だ、と言っているもののやりっ放しになってしまう状況と似ているかもしれません。

Kamera

So this should be the return of blog entries, which in the past 3 years I have attempted 500 times. Most of them just occurred in my head, a few of them made it to opening my Typepad account page, and finally here it is. We'll see.

A picture a day - it is the SD to USB card adaptor I got, and it says Kamera - I am not sure what message they are attempting to deliver here, but I guess it might be one of the followings:
1. Hybrid between Kodak and Camera
2. It is not Kamera - it is Kanera
3. Destined to be Camera but somehow, as always, five people chipped in their opinions about the shape of this logo (perhaps why the a and m should be connected), and somehow, the K slipped in without being detected. It happens.

台北で遭遇した物体、事象について解説と考察を加えていきます。SDカードのUSBアダプタのロゴから目を離すことができません。買ってよかった。なにゆえKameraなのか？
1. KodakとCameraをくっつけてみた
2. 実はKameraではなく、Kaneraが正解
3. ロゴのデザインをする際に多分５人くらいの人間が口を出し（稟議決済もかねて）、その経過途中でKの頭文字が「混入」した。よくある話です

言語能力を高めるために英語と日本語の両方で書こうかと思いますが、もちろん両者の内容は一致しません。書いている途中の刹那的な瞬間ですら進化し続けるのが言語だとしておきましょう。
中国語で書くかどうかはまだ決めかねています。でもコメント欄で間違いを指摘されたら首を吊りたくなりそうなので今は遠慮します。
