[ Video ] Hollies: Stop in The Name of Love

One of the many Beatles-clone bands who were forced to stick to the early  60s musically and fashion-wise, The Hollies became understandably dormant after the second half of the 70s. But they suddenly re-emerged as a trio in the 80s, with this song. It was a surprisingly strong work, converting the original Supremes oldies into a contemporary (Circa 1983) pop song. I don’t know why this song failed to re-ignite their popularity. Maybe showing three middle-aged men singing along with kindergarten kids in the promotional video wasn’t exactly a wise idea.
