Israel Museum

I tried making comments a few days ago, but TypePad was down at that time for entries or comments.

Anyway, yeah, during late ’60s and ’70s, Kato was the name often used for Japanese in movies. I think the butler’s name in the movie Maime was Kato too.

    Hi Fujiko san
Panasonic Isao sounds better. Why not changing your family name?
I also thought of using ‘Kato’ – so I’ll be Kato Kato. Since there were several Katos in Western TV series, Kato might be recognized as English name: Bruce Lee played Kato (see Kill Bill vol.1 – the gangs are wearing ‘Kato masks’ ) and the sidekick guy in Pink Panther series was also Kato, I think.

Apologies in making mistake with your name, Panasonic Kato! Not polite to mistake someone’s name.
